Franco Manca chefs go wild for our garlic | 28/04/2017

Head chefs from Franco Manca, the sourdough pizza restaurant chain with 34 pizzerias in London and southern England, descended en masse to Milton Abbey School on Wednesday, lured by tales of our delicious wild garlic.

Sara Burton and I took 25 pupils to Iceland over the first few days of Half Term.  We left school early with a real sense of excitement but that was soon extinguished by the news of a nine hour flight delay. We eventually arrived in Reykjavik at 3 am and we all headed straight to bed.

Jemima wins her Class in Dressage Competition | 21/02/2017

Many congratulations to Milton Abbey pupil Jemima who came first in her class in her second ever Dressage Competition on her horse 'Pipsqueak' at the Moreton Equestrian Centre earlier this month. Jemima is in her first year in the Sixth Form, studying BTEC Equine Management.

Shooting Season gets off to a Flying Start | 09/11/2016

Milton Abbey School is fortunate enough to be one of a small number of schools which runs its own pheasant shoot.  The Schools hosts the shoot on five days during the season with the full cooperation of our neighbours, and is run by the pupils studying Countryside Management BTEC in the Sixth Form, as well as younger pupils in the Fourth and Fifth Form who are studying Countryside and Environment BTEC, with the help of staff and a gamekeeper.

Milton Abbey Celebrates Ten Years of Girls | 06/10/2016

Milton Abbey School has been celebrating an important landmark: it is ten years since the school became co-educational.   With girls originally joining Milton Abbey in the sixth form, this changed in 2012 when the school became fully co-educational and now girls are now very much at the centre of everyday life at the school.
