This was one of the most-anticipated youth events of the winter season and featured four national teams in a mini tournament of eight chukkas. Archie played for the England Junior Colts against teams from Argentina, USA and a Girls International team. The Colts were making their U.S. polo debut and it was the first time they played together as a team. The England team did exceptionally well against some very tough competition and Archie’s horse Xbox was awarded the best playing pony. Archie went on to play in the Avendano Memorial Trophy, one of just two England players in the match who were both on opposing sides, with Archie's team the victors! Clearly this was an incredible experience for Archie and a great opportunity for him to play at such a high level. The whole team relished the invaluable experience playing on top-calibre horses and fields against some of the best youth players in the world, part of the PTF-HPA’s annual exchange program. Archie said of the experience, “To meet and play with all these players has been an incredible experience. We want to come back.” Archie trains once a week with the Milton Abbey squad at the Druids Lodge Polo Club and has enjoyed recent chukkas against Marlborough College.
