We were delighted to launch the new Milton Abbey Bursary Programme at a reception at the School on 21 May, which was attended by donors, Governors, current and former staff and pupils.
The Bursary Programme is designed to support current and prospective pupils to ensure they have the opportunity to benefit from all that life at the School can offer. It will build on resources already in place, including the Toby Mann Fund and the William Holy-Hasted Trust, that have been established by families in memory of two former pupils who died at a tragically young age, and will aim to raise funds to increase the number of pupils who can receive bursary support.
The evening featured some moving speeches by several guests including Jane Mann, who spoke of the strength and pleasure the family had gained from supporting pupils at the School through the Toby Mann Fund, and former pupil Kyle Moore, who was a bursary recipient whilst at the School, spoke of how Milton Abbey had been a life-changing experience for him. The new programme also aims to provide an increase in resources of at least £200,000 per annum to help meet the growing demand for support from both current and new pupils.
