Milton Abbey’s Parents’ Association (MASPA) is just back from a very spoiling three days in Tuscany where we visited two of the Marchese Antinori’s vineyards, Guado al Tasso and Tenuta di Biserno. Thanks to the generosity of Peter and Anne Bond they flew on a private plane, raising over 8K for the School’s Development Fund, leaving a grey UK on Friday morning and arriving in blazing sunshine a couple of hours later on the coast of Tuscany. They stayed in a beautiful countryside hotel with views over the Tuscan hills and enjoyed delicious local cuisine, some really excellent ‘Super-Tuscan’ wines and had time to explore local towns as well as relax by the pool or explore the estate around the hotel. Parents with pupils from all age groups at Milton Abbey joined in, and the group was 32 in total, for what was a really memorable and special weekend. Many thanks to Lodovico Antinori and the Bonds for helping plan such an amazing trip. It was a worthy successor to last year’s Champagne trip and MASPA are already thinking about their venue for next year!
