Milton Abbey welcomes Round Square exchange pupils

We were delighted to welcome two Fifth Form Round Square pupils this term, who came to Milton Abbey as part of the Round Square exchange programme to experience life at a British boarding school.

Max, from Louisenlund International School in Germany, and Samantha, from Markham College in Peru, arrived at Milton Abbey last month and have spent their time at the School living in boarding Houses, attending lessons and taking part in activities alongside their peers.

Max has enjoyed studying new subjects such as Design Technology during his stay, and has been enjoying all the extra-curricular activities on offer to Milton Abbey pupils, which is different to his school at home.  Highlights for Samantha have included the warm welcome she received in the girls' House, the friendly atmosphere of the School, the good friends she has made during her stay and also the School's beautiful setting.  Samantha also particularly enjoyed the opportunity to visit Thomas Hardy's birthplace during a recent outing with the School running club (after studying 'Far From the Madding Crowd' at home), and attending the Monday evening Fifth Form hot chocolate club!

The School has very much enjoyed hosting Max and Samantha's visits, and we send Samantha our very best wishes for her travels back to Peru this weekend.
