Pupils attend Cambridge Masterclasses

Two Year 12 pupils attended Masterclasses in Corpus Christi College at the University of Cambridge last week.

On March 16 Carla Tordoff-Gibson attended the Biomedical Masterclass.  Lectures included Professor Chris Howe who spoke on Malaria and Dr Vickie Braithwaite who spoke on 'Bone and Mineral Metabolism in Health and Disease'.

Nadia Onyeje then attended the Linguistics Masterclass on March 19, with lectures from Professor Ian Roberts on Semantics and Dr Teresa Biberauer who spoke on what is involved in a Linguistics degree at Cambridge.

Both Masterclasses included a workshop on making competitive applications to the Cambridge University.
