Work begins on vegetable patch for local nursery

A group of Milton Abbey pupils have begun work on a project to create a new vegetable patch for local nursery, Stickleberries, in nearby Winterborne Stickland.

The project, which takes place during the School's weekly Community Service afternoons, follows on from last year's popular toddler afternoon activity which Milton Abbey hosted every Wednesday.

After visiting Stickleberries to make a plan for the patch, work began this week, using tools kindly supplied by the School's Countryside Management department.  The group of pupils will visit Stickleberries weekly to complete the patch, to include planting, and will be assisted by children from the nursery along the way (when the weather gets warmer!).
