MASPA trip to Milan and Lake Como

Milton Abbey parents' association MASPA are back from a weekend in Milan and Lake Como where they enjoyed a heady mixture of culture, fashion, food and wine.

Milton Abbey parents' association, MASPA, had a wonderful weekend in Milan and Lake Como on 11 - 13 May.   Organised with help from Milton Abbey parents Robert Triefus and Caleb Negron, a weekend was planned which started with a visit to Ca Del Bosco, a vineyard near Milan where modern art, sculpture and fine wine provide a feast for all the senses.
Staying in the heart of Milan we enjoyed a VIP tour of the Duomo, a cathedral which has taken six centuries to build, a private champagne breakfast at Gucci's flagship store, endless delicious lunches and dinners where we sampled traditional and modern Milanese cuisine as well as lots of opportunities to explore the city's famous art and fashion centre.
On Sunday we travelled to Lake Como where we visited Villa d'Este for a boat tour of the lake on their launch, a tour of their magnificent gardens overlooking the lake and finally a delicious three course lunch in a private dining room.
This was a truly memorable weekend and a great deal of fun was had by all.  Thank you to everyone who came along and to Robert and Caleb who helped organise it.
