New Centre for Countryside and Equine Management gets the go ahead

We are delighted to have received planning permission for the redevelopment of the old stable block to create our new Centre for Countryside and Equine Management.

The Centre will provide a base for all our current land based and equine activities, allowing pupils to spend more time away from the main school buildings in a suitable and safe environment.

The project will see the building converted to provide dedicated classroom spaces, along with changing rooms and toilets, a staff workroom and storage space. Thanks to earlier funds raised we have already been able to undertake some initial work to replace the roof and make some improvements to the tack room.  The total cost of this project is £212,000, of which £42,000 still remains to be raised to enable the work to go ahead.

Plans are also being developed to build a new Land Based Studies Centre to provide additional facilities in a new teaching ‘barn’, which will enable us to expand our Countryside Management offer and meet the growing demand for vocational courses in this area.
