Wine and fashion weekend in Milan and Florence

Location: Milan and Florence, Italy
Date: 11/05/2018

This summer we are organising a truly exciting and glamourous Italian weekend in Milan and Florence with the kind help of Milton Abbey parents, Robert Triefus and Caleb Negron.   At the time of going to press the detailed  itinerary for the weekend is still being finalised, but rest assured that we planning a trip that will bring together the best of what these wonderful cities have to offer to ensure it is a weekend to remember.

In Milan we will visit the beautiful Ca’ dal Bosco vineyard, where there is a wonderful blend of delicious wine making, enchanting scenery and modern art.  A visit is said to be ‘An immersion in complete harmony and intense joy and a must for anyone with a passion for excellent wines, for nature and for art.’   We will also enjoy a special visits to both Gucci’s flagship store on Milan’s Via Montenapoleone and Santa Maria delle Grazie to see Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper.

In Florence, Gucci’s birthplace, we will be treated to a  private tour of the Gucci Garden, which will have only recently opened. Set in the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia, which housed the previous Gucci Museo, the Gucci Garden has been conceived by creative director Alessandro Michele, the newly designed space combines  a store with one-of-a-kind items,  a restaurant by three-star Michelin chef Massimo Bottura and exhibition rooms curated by critic and curator Maria Luisa Frisa.  In the remaining time we will have a chance to visit one of this beautiful city’s most famous landmarks, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens.

Prices will be similar to previous MASPA wine tasting tours, around £600 per person, to be confirmed in the new year.
