Round Square European Conference

Two Milton Abbey pupils, accompanied by Mr Porter, braved the cold and snow to join delegations from all over the world at Herlufsholm Skole, Denmark for the Round Square European Conference last week.

Lexie and Roger enjoyed a tour of Copenhagen by foot and by canal, which included a visit to the Danish Parliament, and the living museum that is Rosenburg Castle. They also spent a day at a local High Ropes course, in the grounds of the amazing Gavno Castle (the home of a Herlufsholm pupil)!

The conference theme was  ‘Where we go with what we know’ and there were a variety of speakers, presentations and workshop from Danish journalists, philosophers and educators to stretch and challenge perceptions of truth, fake news and the power of digital media.

Roger played the drums at the end of conference cultural evening (to roaring applause) and both he and Lexie played a full part in what was an almost entirely ‘student led’ event.
