Assistant Houseparent

Milton Abbey is seeking an exceptional individual to help run our boarding houses. We need enthusiastic and caring Residential Assistant Houseparent (AHMs), who have a deep commitment to pastoral care and a desire to be part of a team overseeing transformational education of young people, in and beyond the classroom.

An excellent record as a classroom practitioner is required, although the focus of the role is pastoral. Working in partnership with children’s families, this role provides extraordinary opportunities to shape the lives of the young people in our care. 

House staff work as part of a dynamic and highly supportive team, line managed by their Houseparent and the Deputy Head (Pastoral). 

Assistant Houseparent’s teach a reduced timetable, allowing them to help ensure their pupils’ holistic needs are met and any subject specialism will be considered.
