Good Schools Guide review
We were pleased to welcome a reviewer from the Good Schools Guide in January 2023. She spent the day speaking with pupils and staff members, exploring our beautiful site, and absorbing life at Milton Abbey. Now that the review has been published, we invite you to read it in full on their website by clicking here.
We are delighted to see so many strengths of Milton Abbey's unique offering noticed by the reviewer and highlighted in the report, in particular that "one of the school’s key tenets is that every child learns differently, and it’s evident that the luxury of a school this size is that the needs of every child are known and can be catered for" and that "parents are aware that the school has a reputation for learning support, but stress that the academic support stretches pupils of all abilities."
The beautiful grounds and stunning setting we take so much pride in also feature in the review, with the author deeming that "the setting is stunning, and surely one of the most beautiful in the country". However, as they note, "despite such privileged surroundings, the students we met were delightfully unsnobby and profoundly thankful to be where they were."
The report concludes:
"There is much to praise here, and not just the beautiful setting. Its small size, approach to learning, full-boarding set-up and extensive mix of vocational and academic subjects make Milton Abbey a unique offering. Fully capable of supporting a range of abilities, it would particularly suit those who might have struggled to shine elsewhere."
